Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Clarsat collects when you visit this site, create an account, upload imagery, or send a partnership inquiry — and what we do with it.
1. Who we are
Clarsat operates this site and the image enhancement service behind it. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights in section 7, write to contact@clarsat.com.
2. What we collect
Account data
Your email address, display name, and either a hashed password or the account identifier supplied by Google when you sign in with Google. We also store email-verification and password-reset tokens, the time you last signed in, and any optional profile details you choose to add (phone number, address, city, country, postal code, short bio).
Imagery and job data
The scenes you upload, the enhanced outputs and comparison images produced from them, and the parameters of each job (scale factor, output format, region of interest, timestamps, status).
Partnership inquiries
What you type into the inquiry form: company, role, work email, country, sensor portfolio, current enhancement usage, preferred deployment, your description of the use case, and whether you need an NDA. We also record the IP address and browser user-agent string of the submission, which we use only to detect automated abuse of the form.
Cookie decisions
When you accept or reject cookies we store that decision together with an anonymous identifier, the policy version, a one-way hash of your IP address, your user-agent string, and the time. This is how we can demonstrate that consent was given or refused.
3. Why we use it
- To run the service: authenticate you, process the imagery you submit, and return the results.
- To account for usage against your plan's allowance.
- To reply to partnership inquiries and support requests.
- To keep the service secure and to block automated abuse.
- To understand aggregate site usage, where you have accepted analytics cookies.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your imagery to advertise to you.
4. Cookies
Cookies strictly necessary to make the site work — your session, your CSRF token, and your cookie decision itself — are always set. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) are set only after you press Accept. Marketing cookies are off by default and we do not currently use any.
To change a decision you already made, clear this site's cookies in your browser; the banner will ask again on your next visit.
5. Who else processes it
- Amazon Web Services — object storage for uploaded imagery and generated outputs.
- Google — sign-in with Google, and Google Analytics if you accepted analytics cookies.
- Our email provider — delivery of verification, notification and reply emails.
Under a partnership on-premise or weights licence, your imagery is processed inside your own environment and never reaches our infrastructure at all.
6. How long we keep it
- Account data — for as long as your account exists.
- Imagery and outputs — until you delete them. We do not currently delete uploaded scenes automatically, so anything you no longer want stored should be deleted from your account, or you can ask us to remove it.
- Inquiries — kept as a business record of the conversation you started.
- Cookie decisions — kept as evidence of consent.
7. Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or withdraw consent you previously gave. Write to contact@clarsat.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your ability to sign in and stops any further processing of your imagery.
8. Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in readable form. Access to stored imagery and account records is restricted to the operators who need it to run the service.
9. Children
This service is intended for business use and is not directed at anyone under 16.
10. Changes
If this policy changes materially we will raise the version number shown at the top of this page and, where the change affects cookies, ask for your consent again.
